Team Q&A: Anita Cafiero – Director of Revenue Operations

For the last decade, our Director of Revenue Operations Anita Cafiero has worked with startups just like us to accelerate their growth. Cafiero had sustainability in mind when joining the company, both from her motivation to help businesses thrive and her sustainability efforts. Join us in welcoming Anita to the Virtual Peaker team!

How did your previous life prepare you for Virtual Peaker?

I have spent the last decade working in revenue operations with SaaS startups across several markets – Salesforce PDOs, event management, SaaS management, and supply chain. My career has been focused on helping these startups accelerate their growth while learning as many new things as I could. Revenue operations is an essential function and it can look very different from role to role; this has afforded me incredible opportunities to broaden my expertise.

While searching for a new role, I knew that I wanted to join a team driven to make lasting, substantive changes in the daily lives of real humans. I’m very excited to bring my years of experience in revenue operations along with my passion for sustainability to Virtual Peaker.

Tell us about your role at Virtual Peaker.

As the Director of Revenue Operations, I’m primarily focused on driving scalable growth across the sales and account management teams here at Virtual Peaker. To do this, I’m constantly working to align our internal systems, processes, data, and operations that support the customer-facing teams.

How do you personally engage in sustainability efforts?

Over the last two years, we have upgraded our home in many ways – more energy-efficient appliances, a new heating/cooling system/thermostat, LED lighting, and more. I also try to pay attention to the impact we can make with behavioral changes – using reusable bags, eliminating single-use items from our routines, recycling as much as possible, avoiding fast fashion as much as possible, relying on public transportation when we can, and purchasing more sustainable products in general.

What can you tell us about yourself?

My husband and I currently live in Rhode Island with our two sons and our best dog friend, but we will be moving to New York City this summer. We lived there before moving to Rhode Island and we all miss it just too much to stay away. When I’m not at work or moving I am usually reading one of the embarrassing number of books on my to-be-read pile, traveling some questionable distance to see a concert, attempting a new and challenging recipe I’ve found, hiking to clear my mind, or watching the new Dune movies again.
