How did your previous life prepare you for Virtual Peaker?
I have extensive experience in customer service, with multiple years in the SaaS industry. Through my previous work experience, I have developed a knack for assisting customers in a manner where they feel like their needs are being met, while also maintaining a friendly business relationship. Through my passion for music, I have also developed skills in multitasking, creativity, and unique but effective workflows.
Tell us about your role at Virtual Peaker.
At Virtual Peaker, I am a Client Success Representative Technician. My main focus will be the service of Tier 1 tickets. I’m happy to be in a role that allows me to be in direct assistance of our clients. I am excited to continue to build my experience in Customer Service while providing top-notch service to the clients of Virtual Peaker.
How do you personally engage in sustainability efforts?
I currently engage in sustainability efforts in a couple of ways. First, my house is lit completely by LED lighting. I try to minimize the need for artificial lighting through the use of natural light and minimize the use of heat/cooling appliances, and since I work from home, my gas usage is a lot lower than the average commuter. I also make sure to shut off all electronics that are plugged in when not home and unplug everything when traveling.
What can you tell us about yourself?
My name is Gabriel Parks, but people call me Gabe. I’m 24 years old and was born in Baltimore, Maryland. I moved to San Diego, California in May of 2019. I have 2 younger brothers that live in Maryland as well. Aside from my work with Virtual Peaker, I have a passion for music. I attended a year-long audio engineering program before the start of my career, and currently use that knowledge to make music and record other artists as a side income. Being somebody shy and having trouble networking growing up, this passion has taught me a lot about business relationships and has allowed me to express myself in a way I didn’t ever think I’d be able to.
