How did your previous life prepare you for Virtual Peaker?

Kindra Thomas 1I’ve worked with start-up companies in the past, so I’m used to shifting gears, wearing many hats, and taking the initiative to get things done. I love to find ways to work smarter and not harder.  My love for documenting things comes from my strong dislike for repeating myself! 🙂 In a previous Sales Operations role, we were in high growth mode, and everyone was doing something different. Departments were siloed and it was accounting vs sales round 15. I took the initiative to document the accounting process for the sales department, and viola it was like magic! Everyone followed the same process, and they lived happily ever after. Not really, but for that year it was great!

Tell us about your role at Virtual Peaker.

I’m the Sales Operations manager and I support the sales team by implementing and streamlining processes. My work consists of reducing the bottlenecks within the sales process, assisting with CRM improvements and user adoption, while collaborating with Sales supporting teams to generate revenue.

How do you personally engage in sustainability efforts?

Kindra Thomas 2I’m very energy conscious and enjoy finding ways to reduce my carbon footprint. For years I would see how long I could go before turning on my AC. The longest I went was mid-July! Needless to say, my boys were miserable, but they were young enough not to push back and just go with the flow. I walk as many places as I can and ride my bike to run errands. I tell myself it’s a mini adventure, or a field trip so I set my watch and take off! The bank tellers smile at me while I walk through the drive-through.I only stop long enough to make a deposit and keep moving. You should have seen me during covid… Sheesh!

What can you tell us about yourself?

I‘m very active, I love to plan out my days. I enjoy walking, bike riding, hiking, and swimming. If I am moving I am happy. I am a mother of two wonderful young men, they are 22 and 25. I enjoy reading, not really a big fan of social media or TV. My favorite color is yellow, and I am an avid DIY’er.

Come work with us to help change the world!
