Team Q&A: Tricia Valadez – Client Success Representative

How did your previous life prepare you for Virtual Peaker?

Before I came on board with Virtual Peaker, I spent most of my professional time within the customer service realm. The last decade has been focused on the healthcare and fitness industries and I was excited to make a change and work in the utilities industry. Virtual Peaker has allowed me to continue to do what I enjoy, which is working with customers and providing fantastic customer experiences. I’m currently attending Texas State University and finishing up my undergraduate degree.

Tell us about your role at Virtual Peaker.

I currently work with the technical services team. I’m still new, but I’ve learned much over the last few weeks and the team has helped me prepare to take on certain items that will be covered after hours.

My main focus is monitoring our alerts, assisting with incoming install or customer tickets, and helping create or refine our Help Center. I’m excited to be on the team and continue to contribute to our company’s mission.

How do you personally engage in sustainability efforts?

I try my best to make an impact when and where I can. A few actions I take are recycling as many items as possible, bringing my own bags to the grocery store, and refilling water bottles instead of buying bottled water. We also do our best to conserve energy throughout and purchase more environmentally friendly items.

I also will volunteer to clean up our city. There are some great volunteer groups in Austin that go around town cleaning parks, the river bends, and other highly polluted areas. We’re happy to be a part of them!  If we can’t volunteer, we will donate to local programs or parks.

What can you tell us about yourself?

Originally from the Corpus Christi area, I’ve spent the last 20 years or so in the beautiful Austin, TX. My time is spent with my 3 dogs, friends, family, and my awesome boyfriend Zack. We love going around Austin to all the new restaurants, trying out new coffee shops, book bookstores, or hitting the trail for some outdoor time.  I am an avid jogger and have participated in a few marathons but I mostly just love to lace up my tennis shoes and run around my neighborhood. We also love traveling and are taking a big trip to Australia in just a few weeks!
